“ Ethereal Reality “
I have always painted an abstraction of the landscape. Using photographs, I visualize, then imagine a painting of what I feel more than what I see.
Using a cornucopia of colors, combined with a diluted paint thinner, multiple brushes, knives, rollers, rags, and my fingers, I let the colors flow freely, slowly developing into a finished painting.
When asked what my style is, I find myself saying “Ethereal Reality.” Once the viewer is drawn into my painting and finding a place of reality (for them) they find themselves drifting out and back in, seeing and feeling the painting differently each time. An “Ethereal “ visualization!
I live part time in NYC, with a painting studio in Soho. I also have a painting studio in Sun Valley, Idaho.
